Are Vegan Cosmetics better?

There is evidence that vegan cosmetics are better for those suffering from sensitive skin. The main

rationale for this is because most of composed of fewer ingredients than some non-vegan cosmetics.

A long ingredient list can increase the chances of developing a rash or acne reaction to one

ingredient. Having said that, the cosmetics industry would wide is reducing the number of

ingredients – it is a seed change from more is more to less is more. Modern, savvy and discerning

customers are not fooled by a never-ending list. Also many recognised animal derived materials,

collagens and glycerines as examples, are available as plant derived alternatives.

So where does SOS Serum Skincare fit? Even though we don’t heavily promote ourselves as a vegan

brand, we are. A short ingredient list, nothing animal derived, no animal testing and maximising the

use of plant extracts is the core SOS philosophy. Plus the most sensual, soothing application feel –
